Abstract or Additional Information

I will address inverse scattering methods for analysis of global existence and orbital stability in nonlinear dispersive wave equations. In the first part, existence of global solutions to the derivative nonlinear Schrodinger equation is considered without the small-norm assumption. In the second part, orbital stability of Dirac solitons is studied in the massive Thirring model.
