Abstract or Additional Information

The systole of a Riemannian manifold is the smallest positive length of a closed geodesic. In this talk, I will discuss some recent work on systoles of arithmetic hyperbolic 2- and 3-manifolds. This work is joint with Benjamin Linowitz, Paul Pollack, and Lola Thompson.
