Abstract or Additional Information
Abstract: Computer Vision is an area of applied math developing methods and theory for aquiring, processing, and analyzing images. In this talk, we will explore different problems in computer vision and focus on Camera Transforms: understanding how images change when taken from different positions. We will use this to recover the 3 dimensional positions of objects and cameras from these images. The talk will provide theory, but will mainly focus on an example project using the Hillman Webcam to demonstrate these methods. https://www.tour.pitt.edu/webcams
