Armin Schikorra

  • Professor, Graduate Director, PhD

My research is concentrated on the interplay of Analysis with Geometry and Topology. This includes geometric calculus of variations such as regularity theory of harmonic maps, local and nonlocal partial differential equations, and the role of harmonic analysis in quantitative topology.

Starting September 1, 2025, I will serve as the Director of Graduate Studies (DGS) for the Department of Mathematics.
For all DGS-related matters, please email me at mathdgs@pitt.edu
Emails on graduate program topics sent to my regular university account (schikorra@pitt.edu)  may not receive a response.
