Abstract or Additional Information

Toric Topology is a field of research at the junction of equivariant topology, algebraic geometry, combinatorics and commutative algebra. The main objects of study here are moment-angle manifolds, a family of manifolds with torus actions defined in combinatorial terms. We talk about a related categorial construction of moment-angle complexes and their generalizations, polyhedral products. We compute cohomology of moment-angle complexes and discuss related examples.
