On two models from fluid dynamics

I will discuss some recent results on two equations from fluid dynamics. The first one is a logarithmically modified 2D Euler equation, for which we established the global wellposedness in the borderline Sobolev spaces. The second is a multi-dimensional nonlocal active scalar equation, for which we proved the formation of finite-time singularities.
