Springer W-action and equivariant cohomology

I will recall the Springer correspondence between nilpotent orbits and representations of the Weyl group W as well as Springer's resolution and Springer fibers. I will then explain how we can use methods from equivariant cohomology to recover the well-known W-action on the cohomology of Springer fibers (I will quicly review the required material about equivariant cohomology as well). This is joint work with Jim Carrell.
