Abstract or Additional Information

We will discuss Banach Manifolds.  We will briefly discuss the finite dimensional case (definitions, motivations, and main results).  We will define infinite dimensional manifolds by analogy (as is done in the literature).  We will discuss some of the main results for Banach and Hilbert manifolds.  In particular, we will discuss the potential universality of certain spaces for manifolds of certain classes (inspired by the topological universality of the Hilbert cube and the isometric isomorphic universality of C[0,1] for separable spaces).
