Actuarial Math Club's Alumni Panel
On Tuesday, November 9th, the Actuarial Math Club hosted 9 alumni – graduates of Pitt’s Actuarial Math Program. They are now working for a variety of different companies, including Buck, ERIE Insurance, Highmark, UPMC, and BNY Mellon, which attests to the incredibly high job placement rate of Actuarial Math Majors who are involved with the club. Current students were able to ask questions and get advice in a more informal setting than that of a career fair. The panelists discussed their tips for managing work-life balance, the challenges of living in a work-from-home world, and shared advice on how to stand out in the search for internships and jobs. The club looks forward to continuing its relationship with alumni and plans to have similar events in the future!
