I'm a data analyst on the data curation team at Othot. My job is to clean and merge data sets that will be used to predict enrollment for institutions of higher learning. Largely my job is to perform any necessary transformations to the data so that models can be trained with it. Additionally, I will be doing some R&D work to see if the models can be improved.

Without a doubt, I wouldn’t have this job if it wasn’t for Dr. Wheeler’s Big Problems class. The job interview was three hours of technical questions and questions about my background, and frankly without that class there wouldn’t have been nearly as much to talk about. The difference between Wheeler’s class and others is the type of work that students do. The project I worked on directly prepared me for the job I currently have, and I couldn’t be more satisfied with how things turned out.
