The Spectral Geometry of Spacetime

The speaker will show how to transform the geometry of a light ray in spacetime into the quantum arena of Hilbert spaces and C*-algebras, using basic ideas developed by the speaker and Jonathan Holland, building on the work of Roger Penrose.
