Bio: Julian Andrej is a computational mathematician at the Center for Applied Scientific Computing (CASC) in Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. He is focusing on research including High-Order Computational Fluid Dynamics, Fluid-Structure-Interaction and Automatic Differentiation.

Abstract or Additional Information

 Abstract: In this presentation we will cover the details of MFEM’s CFD capabilities by analyzing algorithmic details that are necessary to provide robust and performant simulations. We’re also taking a detailed look into the recent developments of Automatic Differentiation in MFEM which leverage modern compiler framework techniques.
