Abstract or Additional Information

Keller maps are the counterexamples to the Jacobian conjecture. While we do not know if they exist, we have some ideas on how they might "look like" and where they might "live". I will describe my ongoing work on finding them, in dimension two. There will be complicated maps, large trees, mysterious drawings, and 100+ degree polynomials.
