Hourly-rate-based tutoring for undergraduate courses is available. Tutors are mostly, if not all, graduate students in the University of Pittsburgh Department of Mathematics who voluntarily sign up on a course-by-course basis each semester. Tutor availability is therefore not guaranteed for any given course.
Tutors are self-employed and decide their own rates. You are encouraged to work out the hourly rate with your prospective tutor before your first tutoring session, and to meet in public locations for your sessions. The department also offers free tutoring on a walk-in basis; please see the Math Assistance Center for more information.
