Abstract or Additional Information

We first study a forced oscillator that has a stimulus adjusted natural frequency to mimic the behavior of humans, some fireflies, and Snowball the Dancing Cockatoo. We then generalize this to a system of coupled oscillators that have coupling-induced changes in frequency. We use perturbation theory to show that the simplified model we study arises naturally from full blown oscillators that have some slowly changing parameters.
