Abstract or Additional Information

In this talk I will discuss the derivation of one-dimensional maps, representing different solution types, from a generalized-integrate-and-fire neuron differential equation model.  I will go on to present results about the properties that the orbits of these maps can be proved to exhibit.  Several of these properties relate to a dynamic phenomenon called bursting that is observed in some neurons.
