Title: Star Selection Games and the Pixley-Roy Hyperspace
Abstract:
We will show that the star-Menger/Rothberger game on the Pixley-Roy hyperspace of a regular space \(X\) carries winning information for Player Two to the \(\omega\)-Menger/Rothberger game on \(X\). We will also give an example that this translation of winning information cannot reverse. As an intermediate step, we will show that every compact set of a regular space can be written as the intersection of \(\kappa\)-many open sets where \(\kappa\) is the star-Lindel{\"{o}}f degree of the Pixley-Roy hyperspace of \(X\).
